At this point I'll just run it and use WD40 on it after each ride. If it gets scratched I can easily buff it out.

I clear coated mine with a spray can from autozone, i think it was clear coat engine enamel or something.

I was able to get a little work in on the exhaust this morning. I used the FMF KX125 silencer with the KDX internals and stinger cut to fit... I also shortened the perforated tube to fit the shorter KX can.

Anyone know where to get the rubber grommets for the FMF silencer mount?

I am just looking forward to seeing your videos next season on this bike. Think you'll still break out the "woo horn" like on your KTM?

I'm looking to get a shake down ride on the 13th or 14th of November? I'm having hand surgery on the 15th.... so I got to keep on it!

Lower radiator crossover hose just clears head stay mount...

Image

With the motor sitting in the forward rotation the return hose is against the motor, so I will just have to keep an eye on it for wear...

I used 300 grit and nothing else.... should be easy to keep up with, so we'll see.

And I rode her around a bit today. I already feel the difference with the Ron Black mods. With the same jetting, the motor feels to have more bang through its range and it even feels like it lugs better. I suspect the top end will not have changed much with a woods pipe on,but the gears roll quicker with the new found acceleration.

I still have a few things, including replacing the the left side radiator... before hitting the trail.
