It is easier to ask for forgiveness than permission.
I remember my parts bike 2004 YZ250F. I brought it home, unloaded it to the "other side" of the house, behind a shed. After she left for work the next day, I moved it into the house to try to mix in with the other ones.

When your wife asks about the bike in question...
"what bike? Oh, that bike. I've had it for a long time. Don't you remember?"
Before I retired, I got all my parts shipped to where I worked.

might be time for a "purse check" and inventory of purses and shoes

I'd have to agree about the shoes

Being single is pretty sweet. It’d be nice to have someone talk some sense into me every now and then.

Not sure if I’d have more or less money

After almost 38 years, I have to count my blessings when it comes to my wife. Since retiring, I appreciate her even more. Especially as she leaves for work every morning .

Hah! Congrats on 38 and specially your wife’s job.
My only married complaint lately is I was ‘forced’ to buy a more comfortable fishing boat and trim down two of the bikes, before buying the KDX. Rough life. PS. Catching Kokanee at the lake is a good PT to heal up ribs from motorbike mistakes.

Thanks on the 38. Yep, it's give and take. Hope those ribs heal up quick. Stay safe out on that lake

All the parts came in so I was able to put the shock back together today. All went well and not too much of a mess with shock oil. Most of the mess happened when I opened the bleeder. At least I know it's full with no air. Taking a drive out to the island this evening for a shot of nitrogen so I can put the bike back together tomorrow.
KDXGarage, thanks for letting me pick you brain on this.
