Some specialized local shops use to carry them. Check ebay sometimes, you can find some barely used ones. Trying to find a friend with a spare set is always a good option

In winter conditions they are awesome, period.

gregp, I finally got to try out the tire. The traction is incredible. The snow was a good 9" and heavy, but it plowed right through. Thanks for the idea!

I wish I only had 9" of snow! I've got just about 3' in the yard. And it is heavy, stiff snow. When you go into it the bike just stops. I HATE SNOW! I can't wait for dirt to ride on!

Last weekend I watched a Hare-Scramble. There was about 12" of powder and it looked like a lot of fun. The weather warmed up and the snow is now real dense. Have to find some snowmobile trails to ride on. I have been itch'n to ride since December, just waiting to finish my top-end. It felt good to ride around, even if it was just in the yard!

Looks great Sthutch. Up here, I have not been able to ride my KDX for well over a month because we have 47" of snow in the woods. Even my 4x4 ATV has been stuck in the garage... This is one of those "once every 10 years" winters that the snowmobilers love.
As we get closer to spring (supposed to hit 50 this week) I am hoping to be able to get back on the trails....

I've seriously thought about a set of these tires so I can aerate my yards.

This warm weather is supposed to stick around for the rest of the week (upper 30s to upper 40s). It should knock down the snow and allow me to ride this weekend. Can't wait!

jad628, my wife didn't buy the areation excuse. The clumps of sod in the roost made her doubt its effectiveness. I will wait until fall to see if there is any lasing impact! I like to gather all the facts before passing judgment.
