Hard to tell from the pics but it looks like you might be in luck. Any of the needles I posted will work fine in the carb. DEL is a softer needle than the CEL.... and I can't remember on the 1173 and 1174 Kawasaki needles. I remember we used to swap one for the other... but can't remember which way.

and now a CEL needle

judging by averaging the thumpertalk kdx jet thread im gonna say

155 main

CEL 2nd or 3rd clip ???
air screw 1.5 turns out

reckon im in the right? any and all advice would be greatly appreciated!!

hm. Looks like your mounting holes don't line up either.....

I guess I'd grind the plastic to match. If a reed cage for a US 200 will bolt up to your cylinder, they are plentiful on ebay.

When I did my KDX I just filed it out to match the inlet stub.

Cheers

the holes did line up, i was just holding it off slightly! i had no files to hand so i used a hotknife to melt it out... which i do not advise doing in a confined space

but yeah, seat of pants works well enough but sadly there isn't an international standard for measuring the SOP-Dyno
Who give a rats behind, SOP is how the vast majority of us recreational riders operate, and it works just fine for our purposes.
