I was just trying to be polite and not offend anyone. I learned to use jerry rig when I was working at an auto parts store where using the word crunk was common. I rekon ima go murry ma sistur. ima geet a crunk band for our shotgun wedding if my ma can sell all the moonshine...

It sounds to me like your spark is arriving way early--and the resulting 'fire' is kicking the piston back down before it has a chance to go over top dead center. Note the direction your rotor is turning and turn the stator plate in that direction. You will be 'retarding' the timing of the spark by so doing. I'm not sure what the 'timing' of the spark on a KDX should be---I'd guess maybe 4-8 degrees before top dead center? But that's just a guess---should get you in the ball park-----maybe a better informed member will tell you what the timing spec is and how to go about achieving it.

He turned the stator plate the wrong way---and this time it started ok but now he's trying to figure out why he has six speeds backwards---and is trying to learn to ride the bike that way?
