Ya, if I do it my idea is to use the Beta 300 oil injection pump and build from there. I'm familiar with the mechanical systems as I had an old Yamaha DT200 for a while, but retrofitting a mechanical system would be too much of a pain. Be a nice to have for me if I dual sport, but certainly not everyone's cup of tea.

Looking forward to see what you machine next week!

# 2 - one piece handlebar top clamp for the modern 1/18” Pro Taper /Renthal bars. Prevents unwanted twisting and rotation when dropping the bike. Scott makes one that is designed for their stabilizer, but it’s rather clunky by itself. Something anodized would look cooler too.

BRP makes 1-1/8" anodized handlebar clamps for KDX with one-piece top:

They got more goodies in there than one would think for the KDX's. Good find! Chain guide may be in my future....

Really digging that chain guide they offer. I didn't know anyone offered something like that for the KDX.

For the record, I can tell you that BRP products are top quality. I have their rubber Bar mount DM sub setup on my '11 GasGas and it is a super nice piece.

Sorry for the lag. Work has been busy and our 5 axis has been setup as a drill press until last night. Finally got one done, had some chatter on the inside but the outside looks good. Was hoping to find a double sided bolt with a hex in the center so you dont have to loosen the pump cover to take the shield off. Couldn't find one long enough so the bolts just run straight through. 2 bolts are +15mm from stock and one is +5mm. I angled one side because the original one seemed like your foot would hit it. see the 3d printed part picture.

@SS109 I was going to look at hard anodizing one, but regular anodized black probably $50 + shipping. I have to see how much the material costs, it might be $40. I have 8 pieces of material cut that I used from a left over bar, to make any more id have to order a 12ft bar of 1.5 x 3.5" and Ill get 27 blocks.

@Molly's 70 Sure man, send an e-mail over to info@foesracing.com with your info and say its for the kdx pump guard. I can cut another one right now but i want to try and change the program so it doesn't chatter so bad on the inside. I need to order some bolts too so it can come with them. Ill take a pic with the pipe on tonight I wanna double check that its not too close to it.

Heres a few more parts to think about:

PAW gear! No longer made by KAWI, prob a big demand for them. Def KIPS valves, (guy in UK charges around $150 for them). I would also buy 2 stator covers, and 2 countershaft sprocket covers. Also a shark fin type rear guard maybe? And also a steering stop for those of us who have done the fork conversion?

What forks do you need the steering stop for? My KX125 set bolted up and the stock steering stops (say that three times fast) worked great with the KX triples.

Brother Nick: I used '01 KX250 forks for my swap. They just barely hit the tank but I want something like the Trick Engineering stop. Maybe I should just buy it from him lol.

Gotcha. My KLX300 forks would just kiss the sides of the tank I remember, but I didn't bother to make a new stop, it was fine. When I did the '95 KX125 forks instead, they fit awesome and the steering stop works like its factory.

I got the KX250 forks/upper clamp because the bar mounts were replaceable. I had some fat bars with Pro Taper clamps I wanted to use. Its touching enough that a crash would prob do some damage, so I need to address that soon.

@TwistedRoot The gears unfortunately I don't have the machine for. But chain cover case guard and stator cover I can totally make. Our machine is piled up for another week but im making one last change to the water pump guard before i make a batch for anodize. As for your fork issue I am about to find out because I have a pair of 2001 kx250 forks coming in today and I have big clark tank on the bike. I was going to add some weld to the stops but maybe I can make something cool thats also adjustable. Is there something like that made for any other bikes? Maybe i can copy the idea lol
