i rlly like them. eliminating a computer unless i can get it street legal anyway bc the only thing i rlly care about is RPM and MPH. but they are ridiculously thick where the mounts are. they use special mounts which are above and beyond stock. i like tall bars to so these are rlly nice. and they have offset adjustments on the bars :) best deal ever.

since i had no school today me and my buddy went riding today to scope some new trails for next season. god i cant ride a crf150 anymore my back is killing me bc the bars are so damn low. but still had mad fun. it was pretty nice out for december, until 5th pinned lol then it got abit chilly :)
but came home to a box of more parts :) (hand gaurds, throttle cable, wheel bearing, silencer packing, and fork boots :))

So plans are to finish the motor and then if she runs the rest of the bike will be done. im shooting for a month from now :) we'll see ow it goes :)

So i wanted to get the Kdx done for April. but finding someone to sleeve and port my cylinder has been a pain in the ass. so i sorta post poned this rebuild with the purchase of a running 1986 Kx125, needs minor work. paid $400 and when im done will be a few hours of labor and about $100 more. needs pads, killswitch, kick lever, rear tire, grips, just stupid stuff.

So after about a year of not touching the KDX i think its time to get her finished.
I sold the motor,pipe,carb, and electrical system out of the 86kx125 and now im using it as a parts bike for the KDX since alot of the parts are the same. (w.e. doesnt fit im gonna sell so if any of you need kx125 parts let me know) but on top of that my buddy i sold the motor to is getting my kdx motor sleeved and bored for $100 so thatll be done soon. Ordering a rod and bearing as well as crank bearings pretty soon too.
So the motor is on its way to being finished. I'm going to try and get her plated. thats the true goal here.

I am however looking for the side number plates and the top (cover) to the carb. those are the only 2 things im really missing. however i might just buy an airstriker cab anyway. but i did alittle work the other night so heres some pics of how she sits now

thanks man. gonna put the swingarm on soon too and get that all squared away. i was going to use the kx setup bc its disk but i cant the shocks are opposite and the kdx has a linkage setup also where as the kx doesnt.

The stock swingarm brake holder portion has to be modified, plus brackets installed for the parts.

Jeff Fredette had a rear disc on his 1987 KDX200 when I met him in 1987. He was using KX parts, I assume. The August 1987 issue of Dirt Rider magazine had a rear disc conversion.

If you don't mind me asking, why did you part out the KX125?

well what i was looking at was just using the whole kx swingarm assembley brakes, rim, everything. but i parted it out because every offer i had on it was just stupid. it was a mint bike but nobody wants an old bike like that for more than $500

So i sold my buddy the motor and stuff for $500 (hes gonna use it to go race nationals in gokarts with it) and i can use the forks and stuff for the kdx. its worth more to me that way. the motor was an absolute monster. i wanted to see it put to good use rather then beat to death by some idiot.

yah not being able to get someone to sleeve my motor for less than $200 and the purchase of my kx put it on hold. but hopefully ill actually get her finished this time. i know once the motor is running the restof the bike will be a breeze.

So i got a guy who's gonna build my whole motor for $250-$350 (I have all parts except the crank bearings and probably gonna need new jets/needle) he's gonna do all the machine work, put the whole thing together and dyno tune it...... this thing is gonna be an absolute monster

So i decided to throw the plastics on for the hell of it now that i have number plates (thanks to GKBO) also supplied me with shock seal and bumper so hopefully ill rebuild the shock and install the swingarm soon :)
Still gotta restore the plastics but just wanted it to look like more of a bike while im working on it lol.

Looking good. You might want to remount the front brake hose. The hose should go between the fork leg and wheel after the bottom hose clamp. It's a little unprotected out there like that.
