Yep. Sound's like a bad crank seal on the clutch side, and if that seal is gone, the magneto side is also probably bad - which probably means that the crank main bearings are bad - which means that you probably need a connecting rod kit as well....... They are all kind of related - wear-wise - and it is generally not a good idea to repair/replace one, without addressing the entire motor, since it will require fairly complete disassembly anyway.
Try not to interpret this as "Bad News" - when you are done, you will have a fresh motor that should last you years!
Mine is approaching this point, and I am kind of looking forward to it! My wife, on the other hand, is not.

When mine finally needs to come completely down... It will be looking for a KX body to sit in....

Don't worry it's not that big a deal splitting the cases. Just get a splitter.

Can save yourself a whole bunch of money getting bearings and seals at a bearing supply house

Transmission oil is gone?? You have a cracked/broken case, or bad crank seals. You can forget about trying to fix the idle problem until you can figure out this bigger issue. If you have bad crank bearings and seals, you will never be able to get it to idle correctly....
