Put carb, head and pipe on. The bike has alot of snap. no kidding snap like mad. My biggest complaint about the kdx is the lazy throttle. In somw ways the lazy throttle makes riding easier and provides a cushion but when you DO want to snap it you can't. You cna fan the clutch and what not but I mean just plain snap. Now it has that like a KTM. Not sure how I'll like it on the trails, will take getting used to. It may be a case of be carfull what you wish for but just passing on info.

The bikes throttle response is bananas!

Most think the KDX has a lazy throttle... but if it is jetted to a nats ass... it is quite responsive.

Yeah. maybe so. I know the jetting is the same with tboith bikes. Can't imagine when I refine it more, it is bananas now. Crazy snap.

Spoke to Ron, he says compresion is not changed that much, it is mainly a squich band cut. He says 3 to 4 pounds of static compresion increase is about it.

He must really have that head dialed in. Even on my just rb head, stock pipe and carb I noticed a difference in snap. Nothing like the new one with the carb and pipe.

That divider is a big part I am sure.

A Mother's polishing ball would do fairly well on it. Probably waste the ball in the process, but it would work well.

It comes in two sizes. Spendy, but they work a lot better than fingers. Makes touching up a wheel a couple minute process.
