I liked the PCII on the 220...then again,
I e-mailed Pro Circuit to get to the, uh, bottom of this 220/torque pipe thing.

They e-mailed me back, and then I called them. The guy on the line said that if I went from a torque pipe to a rev pipe, I would lose "some" low end and gain "a lot" of upper end.

Yes, the 220 hits a brick wall at the revs... which is fixed by upshifting. I need all of the low-end I can get (real or imagined and unquantified), so I'm not changin', yet. Heck, with the new VFIII reeds (as compared to the old Boyesens), I'm getting to 75 mph (70, with the Boyes).

O.K. thanks, at least I know that my pipe wasn't labeled wrong, looks like we have bragging rights. Bigger is better right? at least when it comes to marketing.
