Have you tried a b8es? The b9es is commonly thought to be too cold a plug for the E KDX's.

No I got it used in 01 and man was it beat. :? Oh well its in much better shape now. Its still a little rough around the edges but those are gradually getting smoothed down. Now i've gotta get the rest of the go fast mods done

those old bikes if well maintained are hard to beat. i am going to buy a new 2 stroke next year. either a kx250 or yz250. i have been riding my friends bikes as much as i can to get used to newer bikes. rode my friends 04 kdx200 last weekend. i like my seat a WHOLE lot better and i have the rb carb mod and he doesnt. he needs it. 2nd gear on my bike and his bike are night and day. i can pretty much ride anywhere a gear higher on my bike than his. he has the vf3 reeds and fmf woods pipe, but after riding his bike i'm a firm believer in rb's work. if i do end up getting a yz i hope he mods those carbs as well.

Mr. Black can modify anything!

He's oval boring Mikuni VM26SS carbs (OEM Banshee carbs) to get a bit more out of 'em. A straight bore doesn't work as well 'cuz of slide size (my understanding of what he said anyway).

Now, I'm not any sort of machinist, but it seems boring something in an oval fashion would be tough. CNC magic, I guess.

Drop him an email if you have a question. I'll bet he does...but obviously he is the person to ask.

BTW...he's out of his shop 3-22 through 3-29.

I know, I know... it's my fault. But I was doing other high dollar projects that I wanted to get done. I specifically set aside the money I got for my old KDX front end to get the carb done. I'll wait till he gets back before sending it.
