I am surprised to hear you don't clean them.
They are made of steel on H models, right? I know my C model was, and I have yet to disassemble my '94 to check them (waiting on warmer weather to strip 'er down).
skipro3, be careful on those bearings. wsjkawasaki's new (to him) 1997 KDX220 had Martian bearings. They were red, dry and dusty!
