This is the one you are selling on Facebook marketplace or you bought it, in Mae Wang from memory?

The parts may be different between an offroad model PWK36 & an SR street legal model, but the type of parts needed will be the same, float needle and float bowl gasket, perhaps jet block gasket.
I dont know if this sr. the graphics are different than the sr's that I have seen here. But it is street legal..turn signals etc..

Interesting... passenger footpeg mounts on a KDX250! I'd say it's most definitely an SR, hence the Keihin PJ instead of a PWK36

F series seems to have PWK. Look on Impe Japan parts diagrams. If you can post the VIN or frame number and maybe an engine number, I can look it up. Thanks.

2 noteworthy identifiers here... DX250F-001408 and DXFE-001411 maybe that helps

this is quite challenging for me...are there any sites that just sell repair kits for that carb? or I would consider buying a new carb but have no idea what would be appropriate.

kdxdazz, what carb is it supposed to have, PJ? Can you help him since you are in Thailand, too? Thanks.

I assume you would be able to get Keihin PJ carb parts. In our USA model bikes that came with Keihin carbs, almost all parts were Keihin made, not custom Kawasaki parts.

Yes. It is an SR version. It is a 1991 KDX250-F1

Here's another link.

https://japan.webike.net/KAWASAKI/KDX25 ... pec/y1991/

Here's info on a 34 mm PJ carburetor:

jetsrus is a store in the USA:

https://www.jetsrus.com/carburetor/carb ... eries.html

Here is a page with parts. Maybe someone over there can sell you the parts. The other page shows body measurements. You may have a 28mm carb. Look through some old posts here to find more info. SR versions were not sold in the USA, so we are not too familiar with them, besides people posting info in this and older threads.

Maybe the 200 SR had the 28 mm carb. I think I got that confused.

little update here...followed some utube suggestions on how to start and what appears to work was leaning the bike over till fuel come out...bike started up in less than 5 kicks after doing that. What i don't know is what that means

the person who suggested the leaning over method said that it helped get the fuel into the cylinder head. Still dont know the implications

Not to sound like an asshole but from reading your replies you are at level 1 when it comes to knowledge and to sort out a 25 year old kdx in Thailand with level 1 knowledge is impossible, it will take you years of learning just to solve Thai **** ups, from a man who has 3 kdx's and lived in Chiang mai for 15 years, if I could do it all again I would have pushed my kdx in the river and never thought about it again, the amount of stress it has caused me.
You could try nung at hang dong, he does know his way around 2 strokes but be prepared to be shafted with price
Bob Farnham seems to be highly recommended but don't know if he works on older 2 strokes
Jetting 2 strokes near the equator is incredibly difficult so disregard any jetting recommendations given unless that person has direct experience jetting near the equator
The person who told you that your carb needs a rebuild kit because of fuel overflowing also doesn't know what he is talking about
Jets r us haven't shipped overseas for as long as I have been involved with kdx's so not sure why they were recommended
The Chinese carbs are a nightmare to get running right and in most cases not at all can they be made to run well because of incorrect orifice machining
Not to sound like a pessimist but there are very few well running older 2 strokes in Chiang mai and most just give up and sell them cheap, there simply isn't the knowledge from mechanics in Chiang mai and every trip to a mechanic means they potentially **** it up and make things worse

nung had this bike twice for a total of about 2 months time..last time he told me now it starts easy etc,,,, I will not take it to him again. the bike is for sale--i will get it sold eventually,,not in a hurry but in the meantime it does start and runs quite well once started.

I had bad dealings with nung too as do many and most westerners
I was at riders corner last night talking to Ian, he also has a kdx250sr and is very happy with it
