Well, I just gave my .02 and nothing more.

That said, now I'll jump in. I agree that I also think that you're probably riding down too far in the stroke which is a well known cause of harsh feeling forks. Stiffer springs can actually make a fork feel softer and more plush by eliminating riding down in the stroke. BTW, this isn't just KDXrider knowledge/opinion. This knowledge, in general, applies to any bike that runs forks on the front including street bikes. Call any top suspension shop (Stillwell, LT Racing, WER, Factory Connection, etc.) and ask them.

As to being up in arms, no, but we've been around a while in the dirt bike game and know a thing or two by listening to professionals that know more than us and/or what we have gained through personal experiences and mistakes. We only try to pass along that knowledge to help others to get more enjoyment riding their bikes with less down time. No egos here. Just trying to help each other.

Food for thought... if people are constantly disagreeing with you, you might want to take a step back and think about why that is. I promise you that it's not because any of us here at KDXrider are just trying to be contrarians or jerks.

It took me a looong time to figure it out, but it finally made sense in my noggin what was meant by riding too far down in the stroke.

Start off by doing the zip tie trick, and go hit some trails. Post up results.
