$14.75 retail each. That's too much for me!

Make sure your cylinder is not worn from coming into contact with the steel pipe. If the pipe bangs against the aluminum cylinder, it will widen the diameter, causing a loose fit. 35 years ago, we had Moto Seal, a white putty. I guess a glob of RTV will do it, too.

Also, check your spring tension and copper crush gasket. (and yet again, pipe not being bent and misaligned)
It is worn a bit and you can see the groove indents from the expansion pipe. I can tell it’s close to being lined up but not perfect. On one side and can see trough the seam enough to make out one of the orings. On the other side the seam is too small. I’m going to go through it with new springs and rtv. Thanks

Would be nice to establish a CHEAP source for these Viton 30 x 39mm exhaust o-rings.

The red rtv is my go to. Found some AMERICAN MADE stuff this week in Harbor Freight for half the price the auto parts stores wanted (same sized 3oz tube)! Everyone wants $10 and HF was $4.49.

I’m running the Fredette Torque Ring so my pipe sits out enough that my broken outer ring is semi-exposed. I just RTV’d it into place.

Hey sorry for not getting back to you earlier. I am in need of o orings but I really need some that will seal better than the aftermarket as my exhaust port is worn. Do you have any idea what size would be thicker than an aftermarket set of o rings? I want to place an order soon but not sure what size to go with. 4.0 x 39?? thanks
