You can figure out something about the little bits of paint, but that one looks great to me.

Be sure to read up on sealant between the box / plate / boot. Do not use silicone, as it is not "gas-proof".

I have a tube of Hondabond 4 semi drying liquid gasket - would that work?

Hondabond = Yamabond

Yes, it would work as it is made to work with gasoline.
