Vossman could you possibly post a side by side pic of the two different colors?

My KDX is a 2005 and I put a newer model KX Acerbis front fender and a Maier KDX rear fender on years ago. As far as I can tell all the plastic is the same tint green but it was done a long time ago.

Here is the UFO front and Maier rear side by side in indirect sunlight. It was harder to see the difference indoors under fluorescent lights in the pictures. I have the Acerbis front on order and it should be here early next week. For $23 shipped I figured I couldn't go wrong and I'd have a spare.


Once I get the get the Acerbis I will do the same.

It will be interesting to see how the Acerbis fender looks. I think you will be ok seeing as how they won't be "next" to each other when on the bike. Then add in some dirt and aging by the sun... I think it will probably be ok and I'm pretty OCD about how my bikes look.

Ced64ks pic on page one seems to support your and KDXGarage’s theory, I’m gonna press on either way. Got a few irons in the fire now but I’ll post the other fender pics when it comes in.

Due to the snow I couldn’t take the pics in the same location and lighting.
So from left to right, Maier green, Acerbis green and UFO green. Can you see a difference? The Acerbis is a little deeper green, not as bright as the UFO but not as dark as the Maier.

I think you'll be good. Throw on the Maier with the Acerbis front and rock on.

Me too, much less noticeable IMO. I like the lines on the Acerbis a little better myself. A little rounder and narrower.
