I am going to try the hydra oil when i service both sets of forks... Nothing in the data indicates that it wouldn't work as well as fork oil... may even be better since it isn't industry driven like fork oil.

It'd be worth a shot... what is the ISO viscosity grade on it?

Viscosity, ASTM D 445 = 46
Viscosity Index, ASTM D 2270 = 98

1937 ASTM D 445, Method for Kinematic Viscosity of Transparent and Opaque Liquids (the Calculation of Dynamic Viscosity), is the second of three building blocks of petroleum standardization along with ASTM D 86 and ASTM D 1655. The enormous list of products covered by ASTM D 445 includes jet fuels, aircraft turbine lubricants, marine and domestic fuel oils, diesel fuels, industrial fluid lubricants, automotive and heavy-duty engine oils, heat transfer fluids, hydraulic oils and many more. ASTM D 445 will also become ISO Standard 3104.
Looks like that will be around 10wt by fork standards.

I think I am going to try this stuff for the seals on the 95 KX frontend too...

They barely leak at all.....
10 to 20mm of the stuff per fork isn't very much so it may prove to be a bargain.
I am going to douche them out real good first and fill with hydra oil and pony up for the new springs. I'll let ya'll know how she fairs.....

Hey Inda! I notice that just under the stop leak stuff is an '..also bought' list that includes what looks to be some purty darn good 2-stroke oil!!!
Going to get summa that, too?
Kidding........
What's the shipping on the pail of penz hyd oil? What weight are you going to get?
And..that compares to what in the 'fork standard' world?

Lucas makes some pretty good stuff...
The 2T oil appears to be too much of an 'all around' oil for our tastes....Prolly great in a boat/ski/sled that is oil injected.

I think I can pick up the Hydra oil at the local Farm and Fleet store for around the same price.
I'll check and let you know.... the 22 is about 5Wt the 32 is about 7wt and the 46 is about 10wt.
Proly go with the 32...
