The Ready Filters are DAKAR tested...about the worst conditions for a filter I can think of. Pro's use 'em too. I haven't ever heard someone say they were junk, but then again I haven't done much research on 'em either.

A while back there was a big issue with UNI when using NoToil. They weren't compatible and the glue broke down and the filters came apart. They supposedly fixed it but I have always stayed away from UNI since.

Why whine at UNI?

I've used UNI filter and other products (not KDX air filters) in the past that were less than stellar in the design AND manufacture. No reason to assume their KDX air filters are any different. I just don't care for the company much.

No outstanding gripe..just don't like 'em.

They don't think much about a customer's intelligence, do they Inda?

Don't hold your breath waiting a KDX version. My guess is they are going to make only for current bikes only and if that includes past models then so be it.

I really don't see the attraction to a toss away filter; preoiled or not. The ritual of servicing a dirtbike is part of the attaction to owning one. Kinda reminds me of getting a Christmas tree prewired for the lights. Where's the joy in that?
