Correct me if I am wrong Indawoods, but I think Indawoods is saying to check the ring end gap before assembly. That specification and technique is in the service manual.

Below is a Pro-X piston size chart for a KDX200. The same sort of thing exists for the 220.

The difference from one alpha to the next is .01mm, or slightly less than 1/2 of one thousandth of an inch...0004".

You're putting in a Wiseco. They don't size their pistons like that. You don't HAVE a choice in your case. I'm sure all the Wiseco's vary in size as the Pro-X pistons do (OK..ART or whatever you wish to call them), but they do not designate them as such.

You're not going to have a lot of luck measuring that small a value anyway.

As Inda says, the Wiseco setup for the 220 is a kit. Use the rings that come with the kit.

The 'A,B,C,D' (in your case 'B') on the Kaw cylinder (and the piston crown..see that, too?) denote which sized cylinder you have.
