Oh.. still not purchased that wheel yet. Martin.
Nearly forgot, collecting the rear maier fender tomorrow from parcel depot... yes you guessed it, customs fees. for a piece of plastic that has turned out way too expensive!!

do a proper spacer/bushing,if you can get them to ship abroad!
or have something similar made.

and yep i know the costs of having stuff sent from over seas to well!

it was running excellent mate, but then found out due to an error in the kdx manual i have, that my kips sub valves where around the wrong way!
now sorted, trying it out today, should be even better!

it really ran that well that i wouldnt have touched it if i hadnt found out the manual was incorrect!

Have you done any other mods to the motor or is it pretty much factory? also can you recomend anyone that i can send my engine off to for a total rebuild incl some mods, piston kit/reeds etc? Don't know the history of the engine so figure it's best to get a total rebuild, not confident enough to undertake this myself?

Cool! I do like that seat. Ok John.. can i rack your brains again, as those KX forks i purchased are apart and im in the process of doing the seals, i thought i would replace the bushings & o rings etc, ordered the bushing kit from company called massiveracing.com only to now find out that it appears they have gone bust, can't get a reply via email/phone etc, also their is stuff on google about other customers who have not received their orders, anyway..enough about that! My question is...can i get these forks back together without replacing these shims & o rings, how can i tell if these parts need replacing & are worn, my only reason for buying the kit is because i have the forks stripped down & figured clean bill of health for them. Any advice john on whether i shoud re order from a decent company or chance putting them back together with old pieces still in place? Martin

Fork oil question?

hi martin,
no rush at this time of year anyway mate, your get there in time for next year

i know a guy in the same town who breaks mx bikes, noticed he had a 90 kx125,so i had the forks with triples, wheel, complete break assembly etc.

rebuilt the forks, new seals/bushes/oil,caliper was rebuilt as the pistons where shot! and turned out the front rim was cracked! so had my kdx rim re-laced onto the kx hub with new spokes.
spent a few quid on new bearings,fork guards,pistons,seal & bush kit,wavy disc,wheel re-laced,but i got all the original parts for £70!
so cant complain!

triples just bolt straight in,no messing at all!

best regards
john
