I know this is an old thread but dose anyone have a piston for a 1984 kdx200? They are impossible to fine and I'm really in need of one any help would be great thank u

Hi what year piston kit did you end up using,I was thinking of an 86 kit,I cannot find any source anywhere for my 85 kdx200,I plan to do the same thing you did,just grind down ends alittle and should be good to go,thanksDe250r wrote:I just put a Wiseco in my 83 kdx200.i orderd a piston kit from a late model. Correct. Get yourself a Wossner 8093DA piston kit and get that thing braaping. It’s what I use

Hi All,
Apologies, just playing catchups, so with that Wossner 8093DA, it can be used on a 1984 KDX200 ? Im looking at getting this model bike, its in great condition, but just seeing what options I have down the tack once its ready for a Tope End Rebuild. Thanks. Arty.

The issue is the piston ring pin location on the Wiseco and later model OEM pistons. Snag a ring in a port, and it is a HUGE problem instantly.
