just alot of minor surface rust. STEEL WOOL!!!! but the only things im rlly missing are the top to the carb, number plates, and i think the powervavle rod. im pretty sure i have everything else.

frame with wiring and the rear shock. (triple clamp doesnt wanna come out) my garage is a fricken mess.


motor needs to be completely rebuilt.


Frame Color!!!. its a purple/blue iridecent color. gonna look sweet.

ok just a quick update. its been kinda slow bc ive been workin my butt off to scrape up some money. i gotta get my truck on the road b4 i buy everything for the KDX :( and bieng 17 work aint to easy to find and i tend to not be able to save money lol. and rather then get a job flippin burgers i work on cars and work as part of a pit crew so i average about $100-$150 a day working about 3 days a week so i still get time to myself :)

well found just about every part im going to need for the rebuild so at elast i know i can buy it all gonna cost about $500 for everything other then tires.( dry rotted but the front looks like its barely seen much dirt still has the nipples on it)

Looking good. I was looking for a late air cooled KDX project bike but found a 1989 for cheap on CL, so I got that instead.

so while doing some grinding today my dreams of my 87 becoming a dual sport and possibly a supermoto were crushed
the last digit (#17) of my vin has been rubbed off.
the corner of the tag on the frame was just rubbed off and the metal underneath was rusted

edit* well did a vin check and last number is an 8 but i live in mass so idk if itll fly like that

and according to the tag. its an 86?

i checked it its an 86 and the last number is rubbed off but i did a vin check and they are all invalid except for "9" which comes up as my bike. just hope it flys in mass bc mass sucks for just about everything lmao

if i walk 2 miles down the street im at buzzards bay. im pretty much on the water. but im not worried about it and my school is usually the last to announce closings and they already announced we'll be closed tomorrow.
