there is no need to remove the airbox or subframe; just seat, side panels, and bottom link. It should come out the side if memory serves me.

Try a sawzal and section it until it will fit out. :lol:

I had to remove the subframe support and pull the airbox.... 21 yr old shock is into the shop for some rehab...
