Asked Ken at Kenco about the shock bumper.Apparently you can't get them in Canada :naughty: His suggestion was mod one of these. The second (pink)one might actually be a cat toy

I have to say that that is the finest wheel truing stand that I have seen to date. Is it available with dual indicators?

I am having a hard time seeing a cat toy working as a shock bumper... I'm sure you could find a bumper from another shock that would work.

So what exactly is a shock bumper?A piece of hardish foam rubber with a hole in the middle.Once I cut the top off and drill a hole in it and dremel out the top a bit that's what I'll have,it will even be Kawa green

The bumper was made by KYB (Kayaba). It is the exact same bumper for a LOT of KYB shocks with the 14mm shaft.

Race Tech has them also. Or you can get in touch with someone who deals with Technical Touch.

Stay away from the cat toy. It won't work.

Thanks for the possible Canadian sources for bumpers Jason.Sending off emails to both of them.
Edit:the second place Jason linked me to doesn't have one,he suggested http://www.csrsuspension.com/,rather keep the $$ in Canada but.......

Found this http://www.ebay.ca/itm/150767568124?ssP ... 1423.l2649 I think this would work and the shipping to Canada is not bad.

OK Jason sent a PM asking why,I have a suspicion but nothing else.Any way http://www.superiorsuspensionsettings.com/ got back to me,$25+$25 S&H.Seems a little dear for S&H within Canada :butthead:

Got the wheels done.Run into a $$ roadblock here.Need a crank to get the engine going and a bumper to get the shock done. Our truck (my wife's "car")needs an alternator and that's taking up a bunch of $$ we don't have

Hey do you have any cheap method of shipping to the US? If you want to just buy a good used crank and you have no use for the rod kit you bought, I could probably buy it off of you if you're interested. I bought a no name rod kit a while back and I just don't think I can trust it so I've been thinking about just buying a hot rods kit to put my mind at ease. What cha think?

Well RHG offer has gone some way to helping move this along.I have a shock bumper ordered off eBay and a front MC from hadfield4wd. It's off a 90 so you can get rebuild kits easier than the older MC's.Here's to you guys :partyman:

After a PM "talk"with Jason it seemed like this was the bumper I should get http://www.ebay.ca/itm/121099393493?ssP ... RK:null:IT .Probably should have asked the seller if it was a 14mm but I just ordered it hoping I wasn't wasting $30.All fears where for naught as it is indeed a 14mm KBY bumper :boogie: Ummmmmm............it's slightly bigger than I thought it would be.Sadly I have GOT to do the 750's paint prep before even thinking of KDX stuff

When it comes to suspension Jason seems to be the resident expert. Especially with the vintage stuff. I often wonder if he sleeps at night or just paws thru old Kawasaki suspension spec books. :hmm:

I am glad you got a bumper. Good job.

I used to do a lot of reading on it. I might have a Kawasaki manual or two.

Got a 90 front MC off hadfield4wd,in OK shape and way better than eBay $$.Easier to get a rebuild kit for it to.
Hey Jason you wouldn't happen to have an extra 86 manual in that pile would you?
