Was riding, it started to overheat and lose power for some reason, tried to shut it down and it wanted to keep running.

Sounds like it was leaning out. fuel line clogged, carb gummed up, or massive air leak?

Sorry to hear about your streak of luck. Seems the same for me. Everytime I have something cool planned, something unexpected must happen and use up my cash. Bummer.....

That sucks about the string of bad luck. When it rains, it pours.

Finally getting back to it a bit. I talked with Kevin at Warp 9 about the rim color mismatch. I told him I bought the front from RMATV and what I was trying to do with my bike. I didn't have a chance to ask what he could do for me and he gave a list of options on what he could do! So, he is sending me a new front rim to match the darker rear (at no cost and having not received the exchange yet!) and to ship the I one bought at RMATV directly to them! Now that is what I call customer service! :supz:

Guys, if you are in the market for rims please give Warp 9 some serious consideration. Kevin at Warp 9 is awesome to deal with and truly likes talking bikes and helping customers. BTW, if you have Warp 9 rims on your bike, and have some pics your proud of, Kevin would love for you to send him a copy. He says they are redoing their website and are looking for customer bikes to put up on the website!

Or check your rads. You run outa water it'll lose power big time

Also a leaky head gasket will do that, bike will start acting like it is lean

I'm leaning towards a head gasket right now as there is coolant on my spark plug. I'll probably tear it down this week and find out for sure.

Started fitting the YZ450F rear fender tonight. It isn't ideal but it will work and look good for my purposes. If you are not going to use a rear fender bag then this is probably not for you! I won't be using the bag shown for the rear but as you can see it easily hides the gap and makes everything look nice. I really like the straight style fender. It just adds some new life to the look of the bike. I'll go into more detail on what I did when I finish all the mounting points.

I like the hand guards though, they are almost the same angle as Carvrs

And I have the blue radiator shrouds to go with that package.
If anyone here wins that. Let me know and we can work out a
deal to complete that set. Complete wit the repro-decal set I had
made for the 90 KDX200 (white model)

As can be see by my recent threads, I am getting back to working on my 200 finally. It is going to be slow going but at least some progress is being made!

OK, need some more input. Anyone find a decent paint to match the original swingarm silver paint? How about the silver for the engine?

No, not yet. I live a fair ways out of town and gas isn't cheap at 16-20mpg. I was hoping someone would have already done so and could share what they found. It will be a few before I get to the swingarm so I got time to wait.

that's what I used on my hybrid. The color matches pretty well, the only down fall is that it's not gasoline or brake/carb cleaner resistant. It's not too bad if you wipe it off immediatly, some paint will be removed but if you leave it there it'll melt it and leave a spot.
If you find something that does resist please post it.

I used duplicolor wheel paint. The silver was a decent match, and seems to hold up pretty good to brake cleaner and such.
