I live near that guy, maybe I could get a good deal and save shipping...
I had Scotts half-waffle grips but didn't like them. I just put on some Pro Grips and REALLY like those. I also use MSR "Dominator" aluminum bars; cheaper than the top-flight stuff (~$35) and has worked just fine so far. I hit a tree hard enough to break my wrist last fall but the handlebars were fine!

Thanks for the info. I bought one for my daughter's CRF230F since she wadded hers. The original is steel like the KDX's.
BRP is where I have had bookmarked for my new KX setup. Very good prices and ALL the options! Great Products!

You're welcome; just passing on what I've found. I really like the BRP stuff too. Check out the S.U.B. mount for Scotts dampers--too cool. When I finally do the USD upgrade, I want the BRP setup; I won't be any faster but I'll be doing it in style.
hmmmm wonder if they do a sub mount for the stock forks KDX clamp? I like the steering damper idea but sitting on top of everything with no pad is just asking me to kiss it hard one day LOL
Oh I will post it all! I always do...... Half the fun of getting trick stuff is showing it off!

Scotts does (at least did) have Renthal 7/8" bars with a bent cross bar for a damper to fit under. That's what I have on mine. I just had to notch the pad. If you want to go with Protapers or Fatbars, then I agree that the sub mount is the only way to go.
