To much snow at home... had to test the new and improved KDX today.
Gotta love the Rev Lok. At first I felt like I was riding a KTM 50. Once I climbed the first 1000' vertical hill I felt like the king of the mountain.

Hey KDX41D, from that link in your post I assume you live in Truckee or Tahoe area, and drove to Reno (or maybe Washoe Valley?) area for your ride. Looks very familiar, I live in Carson City. Maybe we should meet up for a ride sometime, I have a 220 as well.
There is an adjustment period for the you too. You will be more agressive after you get used to the Auto-clutch. This is something to keep in mind. If you think that it is going to be like it was when you used the manual clutch... like in slowly reving and letting out the clutch... it doesn't work that way. It isn't going to die so grab a hand full of throttle and see how she reacts. It doesn't have to feel like a rubberband unless that's how you want it too....

I'm thinking about Pine Nuts next weekend (if it's not covered with snow!)

I see what you mean, I'm sure I'll adjust. Also, I was riding in the dez I'm hoping to get it in the woods next weekend.

A bit off subject but is that a pc pipe on the 220?if so could you please share your opinion of it.Considering switching from a woods pipe on my 220 over to a pc .well aware of the fact most 220 riders prefer the desert version however have not been happy with fmf fit.
thank you

thank you
I wasn't concentrating on the pipe to much as this was my first ride on this bike and I was doing a lot of adjusting of the clutch, engine mods and such.
I can say this, the bike is a screamer on top as compared to my old '97 KDX220. I don't know if it's the RB head/carb mod, pipe, or both.

Thanks, but I'll have to get with you in the spring, bike is apart right now. I'll definitely contact you when I get it together. Have fun in the Pine Nuts!
Budget, you're in IL too right? Kinda cold to be riding here .
Yea I'm in lovington.where are you?
Up near Peoria. I know right where Lovington is. We have had Belgian draft horses for years and go back and forth to Arthur a couple times a year, so we go right through Lovington.
Where do you like to ride? I have heard of a spot over by Taylorville. Anywhere else down your way? We go to Astoria and I have been to St. Joe in MO a few times too.
