2003 KDX200 side stand question

Hello, I am new here. Been reading for awhile but finally joined last week. I also recently bought a 2003 KDX200. So far I love the bike and thanks to this site I have a nice of list of mods I want to do over winter.

My first question is, is my side stand supposed to look like this? The bike stands up very straight and is easily tipped over.

No. i am sure it has been bent. can try heating it up and bend it back to stright. or buy a used one from ebay.

Thanks for the fast response! I think I will try heat first. I have a day planned next week on my day off to do wheel bearings, fork seals, grease, etc. I will try to straighten it out then.
