I have a 91 KDX that I am strongly considering getting the head RB'd on. My question is, how much improvement will there be and will it be worthwhile? I know there is a huge improvement on the 220's but how about the old 200's? Also, where will most of the power increase be? It has an FMF pipe and silencer, airbox lid removed, re-jetted, and boyeson reeds already. Thank you for all input
It's a good improvement, but I would wait until you can send the carb. The carb mod should make more difference overall than the head will. If you have to do just one or the other, go for the carb mod. I'll be getting my carb done as soon as I can.....
Well I cant afford to do the carb mod right now but I can afford the head mod which is why I wanted to know if it was worth doing it alone. If I would be better off waiting and doing the carb mod instead I might just have to wait a while and do that.
