New plating - Looks good to me!! Went to perform a top-end Inspect and Repair expecting to just replace the piston/rings/wrist pin - plating looked tired and new piston fit a little loose. Sent cylinder off to Forward Motion and viola - 17 days later cylinder is back in my hands. Piston fit right on Wiseco spec and everthing put back together this morning.
Did not mean to copy the triple tree stuff into this thread - first time I've used photobucket so I am still learning - not very fast apparently!

Last year I had the 380 replated by USC (through Gorr) and someone wanted a picture posted of the cylinder to look at. I said it looked good like a new cylinder should, since I had already installed it.
I remembered this year on the KDX plate job that if I were to mention something concerning replating someone would want a picture....
This makes at least 4 cylinder personal replating jobs that I can think of through Gorr which did not have a single pit in the plating.
I guess some people have all the luck - right CC?
Who says Gorr changed platers? Maybe he did - if so I did not know - last year he had a dedicated work area inside the USC facility and would spend about 2 days a week there working on cylinders - per the man himself's statement to me. I assumed he was still there.
I have a feeling that Fredette probably tried plating on his own... of course that is just a guess.
