Welding on frame, what components to remove/unhook?

I will be doing some welding on the tail section of the frame. Concerned with the electronics. Using a cheap buzz box.

What should I do to make the frame safe for voltage? I have maybe 90 seconds of 'arc' time.

I'm going to connect the "legs" of the frame behind the seat and add supports for my fender/rack I just finished. I'll get pics if anyone wants to see. Hint: Diamond plate....

Going to be carrying 30+ lbs of fuel/gear for hundreds of miles this summer. Stock tank + 2 gallons gives me 150 miles before reserve.

I would disconnect the entire ignition system, but that is just me.
