The hare scramble was several years ago in Clanton Alabama. Open/beginner class, it was my 3rd race. The bike was all stock except for some boyesen dual stage reeds, exhaust and a rejet.

I just joined up. I’ve had my kdx for around 10 years now and have frequently used this site as a recourse.
I’m currently on my 5th piston and have rebuilt every component on the bike ant least once over the years. It has been such a great machine!
Thanks for having me on the site :bravo:

Congratulations! That is cool. Nice purple KDX

I raced MX a few times in Billingsley around 10 years ago at Crossbone MX. Definitely different terrain than up here
Thank you for participating on kdxrider.net. :bravo:

Wow! That purple IMS tank and shrouds!!!
I have the same, after randomly seeing the shrouds on eBay and messaging the seller to ask if they have the tank also. I never knew they came in purple until I had found this one. And I have never seen a single other purple IMS tank until seeing your post!

As soon as the seller sent me this photo, I was absolutely FLOORED!

Here it is on my original KDX220R that I got almost 10 years ago, now having been parked for 4 years awaiting a full rebuild while I ride a purple 97 version KDX220R), the '99 was previously the stock 1999-only white shrouds, but now much more to my likings, holding the very rare purple IMS tank!
The '99 currently is a test bed for my Showa suspension retrofits (hence the photo centered around the fitment of the RM 125 Showa shock, not the tank), & still needing the engine torn completely down and rebuilt and cylinder replated, although it's been 2 months since I've put any time into developing that shock upgrade although this summer I will probably be a bachelor for 8 weeks or more so I'll spend a lot of time down in the basement avoiding the summer heat, in my DIY machinist's workshop and bike restoration workshop...

I had no idea I had a rare combo. I know I really liked it, unfortunately it’s pretty faded now. I’ve always kept it indoors though, so I guess it’s just age. I’ve wanted to move on for a while now, but I can’t bring myself to sell it because it looks so much cooler than the yz250x or Ktm
