Factory ignition timing
Hello all, I’m trying to figure out what the factory ignition timing should be set at using dynamic timing on a 1984 KDX200. So far all I’ve found is what looks to be inaccurate info saying 21* at 6,000 rpm. Maybe that is accurate but that’s what the newer E series states. I would like a value for idle rpm and full advance if possible. Any help would be much appreciated thanks!

Re: Factory ignition timing
Trying to help. Discovered my Kawasaki KDX 200 Service Manual is missing Sections 14-10 and 14-11. The later section is about Ignition Timing Adjustment.
My Kawasaki KDX 200 Service Manual Section 1-5 conforms with what you said: "21 degrees BTDC at 6,000 RPM."

Re: Factory ignition timing
What service manual are you referring to? Is this manual for 1983-1985 KDX200? I know the 1988+ KDX200’s had that as their ignition timing but I can’t find anything on the early air cooled 200’s
