The sr stator mount is a center mount on a hub in the cases. The kx uses a normal mount on the outside off the staator plate and wound fit the kdx cases. So I then had to set the engine up in the milling machine at work and machine the center hub in the cases down to a height that I could then make up a adapter plate to bolt the kx stator on to. You have to be carful to get this height right with the flywheel cor clearance and to line the pick up trigger with the flywheel
I then set the engine at tdc and put a mark on the cases as this is needed to start lining up the timing. I then went to a friends house who has a 95 kx250 and and set his engine to tdc with a dail gauge and then matched all the timing marks from his bike onto mine. It was a lot off mucking around but seems to be work perfect at the moment
