I've done it, works well, will be putting out a video shortly on how a kdx engine doesn't rattle

I just tried it. I used a strand of 14ga house wiring I flattened with a hammer. It worked but you need to be careful the copper doesnt drag on the top of the KIPS valve. I went to the hardware store and bought a few belleville washers to put under the 2 bolts. Im going to try those instead. They should put tension on the plate without interfering with the valve.

The Belleville washer is a fantastic idea. Didn't even know they made them that small.
If you lend someone $20, and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

Great idea on the Belleville washer, I didn't even know they existed, I got my lathe guy to machine up a couple of washers but most expensive washers I've ever owned

You can get them at McMaster Carr. They call them concave washers. They come for M6 screws. Some are serrated but you get down to the smaller sizes, they are not.
