Hello from an Alaskan in Washington

Post by Dasher »

Hello everyone, my name is Kyle Dasher and I'm a born and raised Alaskan (Fairbanks). I've been living in Washington (Walla Walla) during the school par of the years and now all year around for a little bit longer. I'm a fresh Mechanical Engineer and became that because of being a gear head. I've been riding dirt bikes since 2017 starting with a 1987 Honda TLR200.

I picked up a 1990 KDX200 that is pretty rough and I haven't been able to get to run right, so I will be creating a thread about that soon. In the future I plan to swap the forks for some DR350 43mm Cartridge forks along with rebuilding the stock rear shock. I'll be doing a rebuild over this winter so next riding season it should be all freshened up.

I've gotten quite a lot of info from this forum already so hopefully I'll be able to give some info back now.

See y'all on the threads.

Welcome from a fellow Washingtonian (a "West Sider" lol). Some great riding to the east of you and down into Oregon. Welcome to the site.

I'll be back in Fairbanks full time in a couple years. Until then, only for visits.

I've discovered some spots over here, but havn't done too much riding since the bike doesn't run right. I have my dr500 to ride, but I have to go places with my coworker since I don't like riding alone and he's not always able to. Also, I wan't be get out riding with my wife. Guess I'll just have to figure out what's up the the kdx!
