1986 KDX200 Plastics
Hey Gang: What are my options for new plastics for my 1986 KDX200? I need both fenders, both side panels and the headlight panel. I've heard of Maier, UFO, DC and Acerbis for manufacturers. I'm looking for parts that are identical to stock in green color and shape. Are there any brands to avoid? Thanks in advance. Keith

Hi. Welcome to kdxrider.net.
Look on eBay for used or new OEM.
Maeir makes a front fender, apparently: https://maierusa.com/collections/maier- ... 4748627152
UFO makes a front fender, but the shade won't be the pre-2005 shade. You might find a real old one that is the 2004 and older shade.
DC makes a front fender. I have heard that they are vacuum molded instead of injection molded.
Acerbis might have the older wide front fender.
I think OEM is the only choice on rear fender and side panels. You can get a different headlight but it won't be the same shape as OEM.

DC plastics makes the side panels, rear fender, and front fender.

But as was already stated, they are vacuum molded. I've never seen the KDX DC plastics, but I had a YZ that had DC plastics and it felt different and looked a little cheaper and less shiny. I've heard people have to use heat guns on side panels from DC sometimes to get them to bend correctly. But if you can't find OEM, then DC is pretty much what you have to use. I prefer finding used OEM plastics and refinishing them.

Thanks for the links. I did not find them on the site, but remembered that they used to make them. Thanks again!
