Dear KDXers,
Did a new clutch install. Removed clutch cover and engine cover. I did not install the judder spring or the seat.
Took it for test ride shifted up great...but will not down shift. There appears to be clicking but no shifting. Lots of play in shift lever. Don't understand it.
Any ideas on how to proceed???

You'll need to take the right side cover and clutch off and check the shift pawl assembly, sounds like either the spring came out of detent or something is misaligned or broken.

Thank you Bufftester,
Yeah, that fork shaped spring on the shift mechanism was in backward lol so it ended up being a simple fix, thanks for your help!
