password for new computer
I am in the process of setting a new computer.
I've had my username and password saved in my old computer since joining maybe 11 years ago. Problem is now, I have only a vague idea what my password is. It just displays as a series of ******. Unfortunately, there's no way to shift the display from HIDE (*******) to SHOW.
I've tried using the I FORGOT MY PASSWORD function, entering my email address, but I'm not receiving the password reset link.
What do I do now?

Only obvious option left is to sell the KDX, buy a new bike, and join a new forum

Check your e-mail and let me know if you got an e-mail. I think I found where to reset a password.

Re: password for new computer
There was a brief time where email notifications started working finally in this forum last year.
I believe they initially did work 8 or 9 years ago when I first joined, but then later did not work for quite some time. Then the email notifications began coming in again early 2023(?) up until I believe late last year, for maybe a 6 or 10 month period. Then they halted entirely once again, no email notifications for messages, replies to subscribed topics, etc.
When this happened before and I was looking into it, my address and all settings were correct, yet no notifications would arrive to me via email.
This is probably the case once again, and also why this member is having the troubles he is having.

Re: password for new computer
@pumpguy, if you haven't already resolved this, whatever web browser you are still accessing the forum from that has the password saved, you can go into the settings and look up your passwords most of the time. I've only encountered one browser, the generic Samsung browser on my company phone, which does not allow password lookup through the settings.

Re: password for new computer
Not yet, thanks for asking.
I will have to look into Chuck78's suggestion and see if that works. If it does, that will be a great help since there are quite a few websites where I have saved passwords that I don't know what they are.

Re: password for new computer
Check your e-mail.
I just saw where it said the current password needed to be put in to change to a new one. My bad.

Re: password for new computer
Any luck on figuring out why email notifications are no longer working again on the forum?
This has been a repeated problem here for some reason, and they only worked for the better part of the last year and then stopped working again.
Notifications will definitely help increase forum traffic, which is necessary in this age of everyone using Facebook groups for everything despite this forum being the greatest KDX resource on the internet, as well as sites like ThumperTalk.
