Left wash plug in while kicking over
Like the title says I left the muffler plug in while trying to start my 91 200. Must’ve tried kicking like 15 times. Never did start. Then I realized and it started right up and took awhile to clear out. In general it usually takes about a couple hundred feet to clear out. But ran great. I am amazed with how well it runs to be honest. The bike certainly hasn’t given me any headaches. Still I was concerned I may have put strain on the reeds. I do notice the engine sometime revs very high briefly after cold start but drops down quickly after I turn the choke off and idles smoothly. I think it may have been that way before. Anyone have/heard issues after forgetting the muffler plug? Thanks

It won't cause an issue other than being oil and fuel rich for a minute. You're good.

On my 2005 KX250, twice, I have done that, but it will actually crank and blow exhaust out the power valve vent tube.

I do it all the time, it’s the ONLY time it doesn’t fire first kick, and yet I’ll try five or six kicks freaking out before I finally remember to look back!
