Okay, a bit of an update. Got a new coil. Got the cylinder repaired and nikasiled to new condition. Put it al back together, chased and sealed a few leaks in base gasket area and reed valve gasket and then completed leak down test and compression test. Compression was 210 psi and leak down held 6 psi for 10 minutes under pressure and vacuum. Plugs are still coming out very black so going to try and tune the Lectron carb a bit leaner and see if that improves the colour of the plug.
Also seem to have a bit of an electrical short occasionally which can stop it sparking so I will need to go over the wiring loom in some detail and check all of the plugs to try and figure out what is going on. But she runs and going to take it out for a good run with some spare plugs before I try and tune anything.
