SIDE STAND BOLT HOLES STRIPPED
Hi.new to the forum.Just bought my first bike,a 1992 KDX250.It came with an unfitted side stand as the threads in the swinging arm are knackered.Just wanted some advice on the best way to repair the damaged threads as a stand would be useful at this learning stage....Thanks

Re: SIDE STAND BOLT HOLES STRIPPED
Welcome to kdxrider. I am going to move this to the general question and answer section, as it could relate to any KDX.
I would look into a Time Cert, helicoil (some sort of insert). This would allow keeping the plate holes the same and not buying new bolts. (assuming they are still good)

I go for the Heli-coil first. You can buy a kit with the drill bit included. I like to red locktite the insert in.
If you lend someone $20, and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.
