Maxima K2 oil
Don't want to start an "oil" thread, but need info on the proper gas/oil ratio mix. I have been running Golden Spectro premix oil and want to change to Maxima K2. The GS was 50 to 1, which was pretty easy to mix, put 1 12oz bottle for 5 gals of gas. What would the recommendation for the Maxima be. Surely not 32 to 1 as Kawasaki says. That seems like too much oil. I have a 2005 KDX 200. Thanks!!

Re: Maxima K2 oil
Generally, the faster you ride, the more oil the engine will need. What country / state are you in, desert, tight woods?
I have used Maxima K2 in my 2007 YZ250. It worked fine.

Re: Maxima K2 oil
Usually people suggest finding out what the oil mfg recommends. Many (most?) oils are formulated with a specific ratio in mind I understand.

I'm in north Texas. 3100 elevation, trail riding on river bed and some open 4wd roads. Not much single track in my area, but not far from the Rockies.I consider myself a C rider, not an A rider. KDXGarage, what ratio did you run?

Re: Maxima K2 oil
The bottle of Maxima K2 is 16oz which makes it very easy to mix 40:1, putting 16oz into 5 gals of gas. This is good for a slow and old rider like me. Easy is always better. How do they say it, BRAAP!!
