What year is this KDX80? Is it even a KDX?

I just bought this dirt bike for my son, I have not been able to find any information on it in some groups I'm told it's a KX80 despite the seat saying its a KDX80

I'd like to know what it is exactly and any information I can get
And I would love to know the year I was guessing 1983 others tell me 1981
If anyone can tell me I would really appreciate it.

It looks like a 1982 or 1983 KDX80/ 1984 - 1988 are a different style.

Post a VIN and engine number, and I will look it up in my Kawasaki Model Identification guides.
