1993 kdx200 front fork question

Post by Keystone »

I am installing a set of usd forks on my KDX200, they are the blue anodized usd from a '93-'94 KDX200. What are these notches for and what direction do they go when installing them? Towards the front? towards the inside? towards the outside? I had an old '93 a few years ago and really enjoyed these forks compared to the 1991 forks I am using now, just don't recall where the notches were facing. I don't want to tighten these forks down in the triple only to have to twist them back into position later.

The groove is used to help retain and align the fork guides. When you put the fork guides on, the orientation should be self explanatory.

The fork guard guides, that's what I was thinking it might be. I should have installed those first. Thanks Griz.
