Sourcing rear brake parts

Post by Goon87 »

Hey, just wondering if anyone has a lead on a rear brake cable, mine broke on me a few weeks ago (a scary feeling when you're going down a hill with a rocky creek at the bottom with some speed and a non functioning front brake yeah I'm dumb  )

So long story short I ordered the only replacement I could find using my preferred vendor and it turned out to be a front brake cable (I have a 87 kdx200 with a front disc lol it wasn't a brake line but a cable :bravo: ) anyhow does anyone know of a replacement or a way to make the darn thing work, it just broke off on the part that bolts to the brake lever.
Thanks in advance. :partyman:

You can use a piece of threaded rod. Just bend one end to go through the brake pedal and drill a hole for a cotter pin

Haha thats perfect... The theme of this bike is to make it work by any means necessary. Hopefully it looks like something off of mad Max when I'm done with it... :drinkers: :partyman:
