Re: Need help with kdx200c front swap
The spring rate is .48kg. When I think back on the conversation they did offer 3 or 4 options and I took one of the higher ones because I let my friends talk me into a motocross race once or twice a summer. The other bikes in my garage have been pretty neglected since I built my 1987 kdx 200. It always was my favorite.

1991 clamps will work with those forks.
The head tube on the 1992 KX125 / KX250 changed, causing the larger top bearing.
hbgod, don't trust one post from one person. Sorry.

Yah kindof stupid for me to trust a post but still. It would make sense that theyd fit. Wondering if i could just use different bearings. Thanks for the info. atleast its not a total waste.

No, 1992+ KX125 / KX250 top bearing is a good bit bigger to fit their larger head tubes. Same for 2004+ KX250F, 2006+ KX450F. KDX, KLX, KX500, "KX125 / KX250 before 1992" all have the same head tube.
This is the number one issue for the last 25 years on a front end swap from KX to KDX.

Re: Need help with kdx200c front swap
If one does not want to deal with a stem swap, then skip 1992 and newer KX125, KX250, KX250F, KX450F. KX500, KDX and KLX use the same size top bearing.

Cannon springs are what I ended up with in my 93 KDX. Apparently they are the only place that you can get lighter weight (mine are .41) springs for KDX's anymore.
