rear shock bushing?

Post by black »

So after the swingarm shaft was unsiezed yesterday I went to put everything back. Noticed that the bushing for the rear shock ( top part)92092-1062 part # was really disintegrating Sleeve was in rough shape as well. Need to put a new one in there.
Cant find anything online? Anyone have an idea what can be substiuted?
Found one on ebay but from the UK..Surely there must be something else out there versus buying an entire new rear shock off ebay

Is OEM unavailable?

You used to could get a Pivot Works kit with the top bushing and lower bearing. The upper bushing has the sleeve built in.

I've heard of splitting an automotive shock bushing, slipping it on the shaft and putting a strap around it. Might not even need the strap. We taking about the bottom out bumper?

"Good job, guys. "

The bushing where the shock is mounted to the frame, at the top of the shock.

Those parts are still available either in the pivot works kits (or similar) or online at motosport.com and the like

Here is a pic I took a while back. It is in the shock body, above the reservoir and main body, at the very top:
