So I just pulled my carb off the bike to check clip position and jet sizes. I cannot get the needle out of the housing. A thread here says pull the spring back and put a 6mm socket on that little nut. Unscrewing that will release everything.
However it seems the throttle cable sorta runs through the nut so the socket won't go on. What's the trick here? I don't get how I loosen that bolt head with the cable in the way. Please help.

Hi and welcome to the site. Just use a 6mm open end wrench, not a socket. You may need needle nose pliers to hold the cable to put it back together.

Thank got it. I got the socket on and turned the slide. It came right apart.
